SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY TOURS IOWA STREET SENIORS PROJECT

Sun Country Builders hosted the second year Construction Engineering class from San Diego State University at the Iowa Street Seniors jobsite.  Professor Nensi Lakrori teaches ConE 280 – Construction materials.  Sun Country Builders was represented by Superintendent Ed Underwood, Assistant Super Dan Bailey, Director of Project Management and SDSU alum Brian Wardwell, and Project Manager Justin Vining.  Matt Jumper, President of  San Diego Interfaith Housing, is the developer of the Iowa Street Seniors project, and also an SDSU alumnus. Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation’s Home Front at Camp Anza project has caught the attention of ABC7 News, Los Angeles.  Wakeland, with general contractor Sun Country Builders, is rehabilitating a World War II Officers’ Club in Riverside, and building thirty homes which will house disabled veterans and their families.
